Maxi Luchini: Born in La Plata, Argentina. At 19, he contributed to the iconic magazine Billiken, published by Editorial Atlántida. He later took his paintings and drawings to Barcelona, city where he currently resides. He organizes his activities as an artist at the French editorial milieu and keeps researching the world of comics and graphic arts. Swatch watches were designed around some of his drawings for three consecutiva years. He created and is artistic director of the collection Mamut, by Bang Editions and created Ilustation, the first Festival of Independent Press in Barcelona. He is the author of more than fifty books published by press houses of many countries: Gautier-Languereau, Bayard Presse, Milan Presse, Amaterra, Benjamin Media and Casterman in France; SM Ediciones Madrid, La Galera, Bang and LÁbadia de Montserrat in Spain; Pequeño Editor in Argentina; Samsung Publishing, Corea. Most of the books have been translated to Chinese, Catalan, Italian, Corean and German. His art has been shown in many exhibitions in Barcelona, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and Argentina.
